I'm riding to support Special Olympics with the CycleAbility Challenge
It’s another year, and its time again to get out onto the roads of Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess Counties and get training and our legs into good shape to have a great ride to benefit Special Olympics Hudson Valley Region. I have been doing this rice for almost 20 years, and it is certainly a challenge, but greatly rewarding.
This year, we are doing our ride entirely within the Hudson Valley to build awareness and visibility of the wonderful programs of SONY-HV.
We willl have an appx 85 to 100 mile ride on Saturday September 22, a stay over at a beautifully restored family barn/retreat (donated of course), and a return ride back to Goldens Bridge on Sunday. What a wonderful way to share the programs and experiences of the athletes of Special Olympics Hudson Valley. We will have at least 2 of the SONY athletes riding with us and also raising funds to benefit the program.
SO, what can you do?? I would greatly appreciate your support by making a donation to Special Olympics Hudson Valley region. You can pay by credit card on their secure site, or if you would be more comfortable writing a check, that is always an option as well.
Thank you for considering this charitable gift request. By the way, if your employer does a matching gift program to match your donations to qualified charitable organizations, your gift will be likely doubled or possibly tripled in value (if you turn in the form to your HR department).
Please do what you can to help make a difference. Visit the Fall Games of Special Olympics and see the wonderful spirit and energy of these individuals. You will be a changed person and feel so much better for being involved in some way.
