Gather your family, grab your friends, double-dare your co-workers and start a Polar Plunge Team! You can also join us as an individual if you like, just be ready to get wet!
Collect donations to help sponsor your plunge in support of local Special Olympics New York athletes. Every dollar donated makes a difference!

INDIVIDUAL CHALLENGES:
Sponsor an Athlete:
Raise $500 by November 1st, to sponsor a local Special Olympic New York Athlete! Your name will go on the back of our official plunge hoodies!
Grand Club:
Raise $1,000 and you'll be a part of our Grand Club and receive a shirt at the Plunge.
Champions Club:
Raise $2,500 and you'll be inducted into our Champions Club where you will receive an exclusive Polar Plunge Duffel Bag!
TEAM CHALLENGES:
Cool School Challenge:
The Cool School Challenge is a friendly competition between local schools as part of the Brookhaven Polar Plunge. Students and staff are encouraged to create a team of “Plungers” and join the coolest event around! Your school’s team should work together to recruit as many participants as possible, while raising money and awareness for the athletes of Special Olympics New York! The school team that raises the most money for the Plunge will be named the Cool School Champion for that year, receiving a traveling trophy, school logo on the back of next year’s sweatshirts, a Pizza Party, & ultimate bragging rights! 2024 COOL SCHOOL CHALLENGE WINNERS: TEAM SACHEM!
Banner Challenge:
Raise $3,000 by November 6th and your team will receive a personalized banner!
