Lake George Polar Plunge

Saturday, November 14, 2020 // Shepard Park Beach

With our new reality, we have received a few questions about this year's Polar Plunge. We're here to answer them.

1. Will this year's Polar Plunge be in person?

YES! We have created a plan to customize different timed waves for each team. Each wave will consist of 50 Plungers + participants and will have a designated time slot.
For example: Westchester Knights of Columbus will Plunge at 10-11am. Team Lauren at 11am-12pm. School #1 at 12-1pm, etc.

2. Will the Plunge be safe?

YES! Special Olympics New York has taken extreme caution and developed a plan in close partnership with Special Olympics International and in compliance with CDC, federal and state guidelines. In-Person activities will be carried out in accordance with these guidelines and only as long as it continues to be safe to do so.

3. Is there a virtual option?

YES! We have a BRRR-tual option, that you can register to take the Plunge, virtually. The same guidelines exist. If you raise $100+, you will receive an official Polar Plunge sweatshirt. You will receive Community Service hours, too.
