Welcome to My Personal Page
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page for the 2019 Polar Plunge! My journey began years ago, after being invited by our former team captain (Dan Sealander) and current team captain (Ryan Szymanski), to join them for a tailgate and hours later jump into the icy waters of Lake Erie on a random Saturday afternoon in support of the Special Olympics of WNY. At the time, I didn't know a ton about the organization and it's efforts, but I was always down for a tailgate and an adventure. I'm so thankful to have accepted that initial invitation, as it not only lived up to its billing, but it introduced me to a great organization and has become a cause close to my heart. Seeing the smiles on the Special Olympic Athletes' faces that first day was all it took! These athletes face challenges that so many of us either aren't aware of or haven't had to, and despite them all, they persevere through the face of adversity, never give up, continue to smile, and serve as an immense inspiration to us all. Each year, this event serves as a reminder to me of how easy I've had it and also provides me with an opportunity to lend a helping hand.
Once again this year, I've set my Fundraising Goal at $500. This is the amount needed to support one Special Olympic Athlete thru a year's worth of training and competition. I kindly ask you to consider making a donation - even the smallest of donations can make a difference. Thank you, in advance, for your efforts and continued support!
