It's that time of year again, time to freeze for charity. Please donate to help sponsor the special Olympics of western New York.  The plunge is on December 5th.

UPDATE 12-1: Alright, were getting down to the wire, last week for donations as we are doing the plunge Saturday. The live event was cancelled in favor of virtual for covid reasons....so team boom chicken is doing it in our pool and recording it. Believe it or not this means the water will be colder as we don't have a pool heater and small bodies of water cool faster. Let's get to a thousand dollars raised. I will probably be spamming the link to people again throughout the week. Don't worry, I get none of the money. It all goes to supporting some amazing special olympics athletes.

Updoot 10-30: we have reached $567 after I pitched in my hundred.   My teammates have dumped in a lot for various reasons and I appreciate them and ALL who have donated so far.    I think with a month left we can reach a thousand and fully sponsor two athletes.

This year we want our team to land in the top spot for fundraising to send some incredible athletes to the special olympics. These people are amazing and it only takes about $500 to sponsor one athlete for the year.   I'm going to set my own personal goal for $500 raised.   But every little bit helps.    Doesn't matter if you can only donate a dollar. It's all appreciated and absolutely all of it goes to sponsoring an athlete. I get no kickback or pay from this. Just the satisfaction of some frigid cold water and knowing I did something nice.
