Ok people this is Jacob and I am a special Olympic athlete. Its polar plunge time!!!! The polar plunge is different this year we have to do it virtual because of the covid  virus  This year has been a really bad year i haven’t been able to get together and play sports with my friends because of covid it made me feel very sad and frustrated not being able to play my sports. My whole world changed and I hated it!!! I play 5 sports my favorite sport to play is basketball. Special Olympics means family to me it also means competition and I love to compete and I love people cheering me on when I play my sports. Special Olympics has been there for me through this difficult time we had zoom meetings and in the meetings they had workout sessions and times to talk with my friends my coaches. staff members of special Olympics ny check in on me to make sure I am doing alright my boy john pre contacted me and asked me to go running I can now run 3 miles without stopping because he helped me so this year I teamed up with my boy John Pre to do the virtual polar plunge. john pre and I decided to call our team plunge forward to us it means to move on and never give up and to continue to reach my goals because one day I will be at world games but I don’t know when that will be but I have to believe in myself and surround myself with people who believe in me and I need to always put the work in!!!!!!!!!!!
