Hi! I am soooooo excited to be plunging with my family to help raise money for Special Olympics NY. I went to the USA Games this past June in Orlando, Florida as a NYS powerlifter!! I had the most incredible time of my life! I won a gold medal for the deadlift, and a silver for the bench press, a silver medal overall, and  placed 4th for the squat. I also got to go to Disney World for the first time in my life. I made so many friends, and memories to last a lifetime! Then I competed in the NYS Summer Games at the end of June at Ithaca College. I got a gold medal overall in my weightclass!  Since then I have been building my muscles working out at the YMCA with my trainer Gabe, and even got to compete again in the fall in Albany. (Guess what? I got another gold medal!) I also got selected to be on the NYS Special Olympics Athlete Leadership Council, and have participated in several meetings and some fundraising events. I can't wait to plunge into Cayuga Lake again on Saturday March 25th at the Polar Plunge!
