2023 Rochester Polar Plunge

IUEC Local 27

Welcome to our Team Page!

Welcome to the IUEC Local 27 Polar Plunge team page!

This is our first year participating as an organized team, and I have been blown away by the support we've received.  Not only from our Local's members, but from members of other IUEC Locals, IUEC leadership, our friends, our families, and countless others.  The Special Olympics truly is a wonderful cause to get behind, and the response from our small community has been amazing!

Whether you are here to sign up to plunge, donate, or just check out our page, thank you for taking the time out of your day to help do a little good in a crazy world.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

The Polar Plunge takes place at the Ontario Beach Park, Robach community center.  It's impossible to miss, just follow the crowds to the big heated tent.

Parking fills up FAST, so plan ahead or you might be walking a little bit.

I will be at the tent at 9:30 AM Sunday, Feb 5th to set up our spot.  Look for the IUEC flags, or give me a call and I'll guide you there.

Plunge is at noon, make sure you bring a change of dry clothes.

Bring a pair of old sneakers, water shoes, or some form footwear to plunge in.  I will have trash bags for everyone to put their wet stuff in post-plunge.

After we plunge, we will head up to some local establishments for some beverages. First round is on me!
