Question: What did the 35 plungers, along with the Team Manresa donors do for NY Special Olympics this year ?

Answer:  With the funds raised by Team Manresa at the 2022 Polar Plunge, Special Olympics was able to train and equip enough athletes to fill a bus. This also covered the costs of that busload of Special Olympians competing at local and state-wide competitions. 

The reality is that although Special Olympians are amatuers, NY Special Olympics spends $400 to $500 per athlete. The amount varies between athletes who just compete locally and the those that compete at the state games.

On behalf of these athletes I say thank you for your past support as a plunger or donor and I hope you continue support NYSO.
