Please read this important message...
My dear friend, if you are reading this, it is too late. I have unapologetically put you in the awkward position of having to make the conscious decision whether or not to donate to the Special Olympics. Ask yourself, "What kind of person am I? Am I the kind of person who will prioritize my next double/double from Tim's, or my next pack of cannabis gummies, over the wonderful people who participate in the Special Olympics?" I know you, friend. That's not who you are. YOU are a kind soul, a selfless giver, who absolutely could not live with the guilt of scrolling past this post and not donating to this absolutely incredible cause. You are not a cheap, selfish curmudgeon, who would spend $35 on a post-pandemic pizza but not donate a mere $5-$10 to the wildly deserving NY chapter of the Special Olympics. You won't make the excuse that "I don't have a credit card card handy" because you know full well that you have Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or whatever else you can use to indulge in frivolous online shopping, to yourself with gifts, all connected to this very device. There is a philanthropist deep down inside you! Let it out and shower the Special Olympics with gifts! You see, friend, I will be playing flag football on June 8th at Highmark Stadium to raise money and awareness for the athletes of Special Olympics NY. You can make a difference by making a donation to help me hit my fundraising goal. Special Olympics NY provides cost-free sports and training opportunities for over 42,000 athletes across NYS.
