Hello! I’m Nick Kenzie.
I’ve been participating with Special Olympics New York since I was 15. I compete in basketball, bocce, bowling, curling, golf, hiking, and swimming—and this year I’m proud to be representing New York State in swimming at the USA Games in Minnesota!
Special Olympics New York has truly changed my life. I’ve made amazing friends, learned how to be part of a team, and found so many ways to stay active. It feels like a family to me—a place where I feel supported, accepted, and like I truly belong. The people I’ve met mean everything to me.
Fun fact: I’m a lefty! When I’m not playing sports, I love walking my dogs, watching sports (Go Bills!), and giving back by volunteering.
Special Olympics New York has helped shape who I am today, and I’m so grateful to be part of it. As I prepare for this next step in my journey, I’m thankful for everyone who stands behind me and believes in my goals. The encouragement and support from this community help make opportunities like the USA Games possible.
