Colleen and Betsy are lacing up their sneakers (and questioning their life choices) as they take on 26.2 miles at the NYC Marathon for the Special Olympics NY team—raising funds and awareness for the incredible athletes of Special Olympics New York along the way.
Running is actually what brought us together 14 years ago, and clearly neither of us had the sense to stop. Since then, we’ve been in each other’s weddings, somehow ended up pregnant at the same time, and now we’re navigating motherhood side by side with jogging strollers and snack bags in tow.
Running has always been our therapy, where we solve life’s problems somewhere between mile 2 and “why did we sign up for this?” So now we’re taking our conversations to the streets of NYC—26.2 miles of chatting, laughing, and hopefully remembering to keep moving forward.
We’re excited to run, have fun, and most importantly support the amazing athletes of Special Olympics New York!
