This year, I am honored to be running the 2026 NYC Marathon on behalf of Special Olympics — an organization that empowers individuals with intellectual disabilities through sports, inclusion, confidence, and community.
Special Olympics is about so much more than sports. It’s about confidence, belonging, friendship, and opportunity. It’s about making sure every athlete feels seen, celebrated, and valued.
Our family is passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities and helping create a world that is more supportive and empowering for everyone. Through my husband’s work on the board for the Center for Disability Services and our family's support of the Center, we’ve gained a deeper appreciation for the strength, resilience, and joy within this community — and the importance of organizations that advocate for and uplift individuals with disabilities.
Running 26.2 miles will certainly be a challenge, but it is nothing compared to the obstacles many people face every day. I am proud to use this opportunity to help raise awareness and funds for programs that create acceptance, encouragement, and life-changing opportunities for athletes of all abilities.
Thank you for supporting me, Special Olympics, and the incredible athletes this organization serves. Every donation — no matter the size — truly makes a difference.
