I have been a volunteer with Special Olympics for ten years this year! I started as a Unified Partner with my high school team in Bozeman, Montana, where I competed as a Unified Partner and later served on the State Board of Inclusive Youth Leadership. At Colorado State University, I joined the club's executive board, coached athletes, and traveled to the national flag football tournament in Texas as a Unified Partner.
The athletes and families I've met across Montana, Colorado, and beyond inspired me to build a career working with children with disabilities. I'm now a doctoral student in Occupational Therapy at CSU and still an active Unified Partner.
This November, I'm running 26.2 miles through New York City to give back to a community that has brought so much joy into my life. Please consider donating to support Special Olympics athletes and the programs that change lives. Every dollar makes a difference :)
