I am running in the New York City Marathon to support the Athletes of Special Olympics New York. I believe everyone deserves the chance to experience the joy of sports, no matter their abilities. As an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine, I see every day how moving, training, and being part of a team can change lives—helping people feel stronger, more confident, and more included. Special Olympics gives athletes with intellectual disabilities a place to compete, make friends, and feel proud of what their bodies can do. By taking on 26.2 miles, I’m putting my own love of running to work to support these athletes and help make sure they have the same opportunities, support, and celebration that I want for every patient I care for. Help me reach my goal and make their dreams come true!!!
