Welcome to the fundraising page of The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers’ Motorcycle Club, of Local Union no.3.
As a local brotherhood, we have members hailing from far & wide to keep the spirit of our community alive. Based out of Forest Hills, New York, our duty is to ensure that New York City remains a positive landmark in the world at large, and remains a home to some of the wisest, most knowledgeable, and most-talented electrical workers in the world.
To this day, we’ve been supporters of the Special Olympics and their mission for years. Throughout our Club’s annual events and volunteer efforts, one of our highlight developments is keeping this administration alive for the incredibly strong athletes and families who participate in the Special Olympics’ events each year.
Another one of our most engaging duties other than the plunge has been working alongside the Weightlifting athletes participating in the games. The amount of sweat, heart and tears these athletes put into their training and competition is an aspect of life that can only be experienced face-to-face.
If 2020 taught me anything, it’s that we need to take a somewhat painful step back in-order to become aware of the things that are sitting right in front of us.
Collectively, we need to take a reality check- to remember what it was like to have, and contribute to a sense of community; and bring it forth once more into our waking world.
