Thank you for visiting my personal page. I have been participating in Special Olympics for 30 years and have participated in the Polar Plunge for 17 years.

The Polar Plunge is Special Olympics New York's largest fundraiser of the year. 
The money raised helps pay for equipment and training for the athletes and expenses to attend competitions.

I love being a part of  Special Olympics. I enjoy being on the Regional and State Athlete Leadership Council. I have learned so much, gained self-confidence and met new friends by being on the council.  I had a fun year competing in snowshoeing, volleyball, bowling and golf. 

It has been an exciting year for me in Special Olympics. I was one of nine nominees for State Athlete of the Year! Although I was not selected, I was very proud and excited to be nominated. I was chosen as August's NY ABLE  Athlete of the Month.
