Several years ago while vacationing, I met, by chance, a family that became and extention of my own.  This wonderful family came with an incredibly gifted son named Richard, known more lovingly as Richie.  Richie has an incredible knack for knowing all things sports; and an even more uncanny knack for ridiculing you for your sports teams!  He is an avid athlete, incredible really.  His drive is beyond belief.  I've had the opportunity to travel and see Richie compete, wow, what an athlete!  Richie is Autistic, but that does not define him, he rewrites the rules of how far he can go!  Please help me in raising funds for my very special fr-amily and help him continue to compete!  I will be taking the Polar Plunge this year for my friend Richie and all of his teammates, please help me by donating to my incredible friend!

UNBELIEVABLE NEWS. In just 17 days we have hit the goal of $5000. Please don't stop, lets keep sending the link to as many people as possible. Who knows what we can do with 3 weeks to go before the plunge. God sure has been great to bless Joyce and I with so many amazing people in our lives. Keep up the great work everyone. Love to all

Newest update!!! 17 more days before the big plunge. We as an awesome group of family and friends we have passed the goal of $5000 now $654 shy of an amazing $6000. Lets keep spreading the word and heck lets shoot for $7000. Another shout out to a great company right here in Camillus, Smile Therapy, I start every morning with an uplifting email from them. I'm gonna owe a lot of people for this GREAT effort. Hopefully some pics and a video of me jumping in will be enough to call it even. Take Care and keep on Smiling.

Well we are now 10 days away from the polar Plunge. With the sights set on $7000 we are now $1267 shy of that new goal. I have asked a lot from family and all my friends and with 10 days to go this will be the hardest last bit of money to get donated. This extra $1267 is enough money to send 5 more athletes off to compete. So hopefully we as a group of all my family and friends we can find away to raise that money for 5 more athletes.

Hi Everyone,

Well with just one week to go for the 2024 Fishkill Polar Plunge for Special Olympics, we as a group of family and friends ( which most all of you I consider family) we have been able to raise just about $670 shy of $7000. I know that I have been beating up on a lot of people lately, BUT if I didn't feel that this is SUCH A GREAT cause I wouldn't be doing it. So lets keep fighting this week and try to spread to word to as many people as possible. Come these next few days I will be reaching out to a few more friends via text and trying to meet with a few people in person. I truly believe we will reach this new goal of $7000. As I've told a bunch of people already that this will be a one and done fund raising effort on my part for these amazing athletes as there is only so much that I am willing to ask of everyone. Lets fight hard in these next 7 days to hit that goal and be able to send off 28 of these amazing athletes to compete in the Special Olympics.

WOW!!!!! In 36 days we as a unbelievable group of friends and family have been able to raise $7100 for these wonderful athletes. I'm so proud to have so many amazing friends and family members. With about 68 hours before the polar plunge who knows we as a group might just hit $8000. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. As I've said from day one this has been a group effort not a Tom Hart effort. Heck all I have to do is jump in the cold water.

Feb. 15th. With less than 48hrs before I take the plunge on behalf of all of you that have supported these wonderful athletes. Again many thanks to all my friends and family. Hey friends and Family,  well its now 2025 almost a year after we did an amazing job raising money for these great athletes. I'm not much of a man to go back on my word, BUT HERE I GO. LAST YEAR I TOLD ALL YOU THIS WAS A ONE AND DONE FUND RAISER FOR ME. I GUESS I WILL BE EATING THOSE WORDS AND I APOLOGIZE FOR THAT. I will not hound like I did last year but if in your heart you felt this was a great cause I ask that we give it one more time and donate in 2025. This i promises will be my last year of doing this. So all you friends and family let's do this as a team and as I said last year I have the easy part, just jump in the ice cold water. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.  Tom H
