Every year people ask me why I do the plunge and every year I answer, "I do this plunge for my Uncle Joe." Uncle Joe passed away after being a resident at SIDDSO since he was very young. While there he was blessed with caring individuals who worked diligently to help him live his life to the fullest. While he will be missed, I am proud to honor his memory by raising funds for Special Olympics NY, whose employees work just as hard for their athletes.
