As a Special Education Teacher in Liverpool and Baldwinsville for over 20 years, I have seen the impact students with special needs have on the school community.  

Unified Sports coaching Bowling, Basketball, and Flag Football has helped our school become more inclusive, accepting, and just a better environment for everyone to learn and help one another. 

We even started an I AM NORM Aktion Club over 10 years ago to help build the environment, working together with students with special needs, doing service learning projects. Special Olympics is a district-wide event that captures the hearts of the whole district in the spring.
