Friends and supporters.  I've been doing the Polar Plunge for 18 years. 

I do this because I've been friends with people with special needs since childhood through school, church, 4-H, and my community.  Looking back, I was disappointed that there was so little support for this community.  When I moved to Rochester, I discovered the amazing organization called Special Olympics and connected with a number of Olympians.  It is an organization that deserves our support.
