Special Olympics New York is proud to once again be an official charity partner for the 2019 TCS New York City Marathon on Sunday, November 3rd, 2019. The New York City Marathon has grown from a Central Park race with 55 finishers to the world's biggest and most popular marathon, with nearly 50,000 finishers in 2015. Running for a charity gives you the opportunity to change lives and give back to your community. Special Olympics New York is extremely grateful for our participants running for TEAM SONY!

Special Olympics New York provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-style sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. Special Olympics New York is a private, non-profit 501(c)3 organization that is funded primarily by donations from individuals, corporations and foundations. Special Olympics New York never charges athletes or their families or caregivers to train or compete.

Our 2019 TEAM SONY runners were selected to represent Special Olympics New York as they run the marathon while raising funds for our New York Athletes! Please consider making a donation to their page to help them hit their goal, live their dream while giving back to their local community and making an impact on the lives of our Special Olympics New York Athletes!
